Summer visit 2019

The work begins...

An update on the status of this summers visit.

The yearly cycle of work to ensure our children arrive in the summer has begun once more. We are planning our annual visit to Belarus this March and putting in place each stone to ensure another lovely bunch of children arrive towards the end of July and grace ourselves with another wonderful three weeks.

The dates for this years visit are July 27th - August 17th. We have already begun communication with the event hosts for this years events. Nottingham University quickly agreed to host our children for another amazing day of rock climbing and we are progressing dialogue with many of our usual locations to ensure we can put on quite the adventure for our guests.

Two of our committee members Jon Day and Nick Rushby will travel togetherto Belarus in March to perform the background work which is very much needed towards selecting the children for this summers visit and the families and children from previous visits and families who are part of our support program. It will be one very full on week with an lots of work to be done towards this summers visit and some other projects we want to explore.

We hope to see many familiar faces from our pool of host family members this summer and we are also hopeful of meeting many new people and making new friends within our growing community.
